How long does a mutual agreement divorce take?
It depends on the court's workload, but in normal conditions it is usually resolved within four to eight weeks from filing the application. The part that takes the most time, if everything is not already agreed, is preparing the separation agreement. The sooner you start, the sooner it is resolved.
Can we use a single lawyer for an agreed divorce?
Yes, it is possible in a mutual agreement divorce, provided there is no real conflict of interest between the parties. If the agreement is genuine and both parties' interests are reasonably aligned, one lawyer can act for both.
What if my spouse changes their mind?
If one party withdraws before ratification, the agreed divorce process cannot continue and the contested route would need to be considered. It does happen, and the best way to reduce that risk is to have the agreement properly finalised before the application is filed.
How much does a mutual agreement divorce cost in Torrevieja?

Can the divorce be finalised without going to court?
