Family Law Specialist
Ruth López Morueco
Family matters are the only ones where the legal decision and the personal decision go hand in hand. That is why who accompanies you matters, how they work, and whether they will actually be there when things develop.
I am a family law and inheritance specialist. I have been handling divorce, custody, maintenance and estate cases in Torrevieja and the Vega Baja for over 20 years.
I have represented clients in significant cases of every kind. Negotiations, contested proceedings, mediations… In every one of them I have been as committed as if it were my own situation. That will not change.
My Professional Background
I graduated in Law from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid and spent more than eight years litigating across Spanish courts. That period gave me something no classroom teaches: an understanding of how proceedings actually unfold in practice, what strategies the other side will use, when it is worth fighting and when it is not.
Some years later I opened my own law firm in Torrevieja under my name, López Morueco Abogados.
And to this day, it is still me who manages and handles the cases. Not an associate, not a paralegal, not "the team". Me.

Division of assets in a divorce
When a marriage comes to an end, one of the first questions is what happens to everything the couple has built up together: the house, the bills, the car, the savings. The division of assets causes so much tension, partly because most people go into it without knowing...
